Merry Christmas...can you smell the roses??

Merry Christmas Everybody!! Today is December 26th and the Woodard clan is plain tuckered out. Kat is alsleep in the downstairs couch, I'm lounging around watching bowl games getting excited about the National Championship, and little man is fast asleep.
Yesterday we experienced Christmas as parents for the first time. Let me tell you what, there isn't a better feeling than watching the little guy tear into his gifts. I'm sure he had no clue what was going on, but he sure had fun! Of course he decided to wake up an hour earlier than usual in order to see what Santa brought!!! His Uncle Parker and me have decided that Santa is lazy!! He brought Caden tons of stuff that we had to put together on Christmas Eve night. I thought that Santa was magic?? Couldn't he just put everything together for us before he left? Guess not.
On Christmas Eve night we went over to Meme and Pops house after church to enjoy a Christmas dinner together and open presents. Meme and Pop bought Caden a lifetime fishing and hunting license!! The gift that will literally keep on giving his entire life! How awesome! Tracie, Parker, Braxton and Trey were also there to share this special day with the rest of the family. We missed Caitlin, but I'm sure we will see her in the next few days. After opening presents the next morning we went to visit the Vieira side of the family. Dawson enjoyed his third Christmas, Peyton enjoyed her second Christmas and Caden celebrated his first. Needless to say, they had a blast opening presents together! Caden, Mommy, and Daddy, all got exactly what they wanted. Everything from clothes, to prints, to wallets, Ingram Jersey's, and even picture books. We are all very very blessed.
This has been such an amazing and blessed year. There are a few people that are no longer with us and it has been an adjustment to accept that. But the addition of Caden into our lives has made everything that much sweeter. To all of our friends and family, we love you very much. Merry Christmas from Caden, Nick, and Kathryn. God bless.
